When you leave early in the day to go about your daily business, you've already taken the dog for a walk, fed the cat, and done what you need to do to provide for their very basic needs. As you leave, you look behind you as the forlorn face watches you say good-bye.

Can you imagine what it is like to be cooped up for the remainder of the day?

Dogs require stimulation and the younger they are the more physical and mental stimulation they require. Without this stimulating activity, a bored dog can quickly become a destructive dog, chewing and getting into a variety of mischief. Getting out to play, to run, to breathe in the fresh air -- to just be a dog -- brings such satisfaction to your pet and increases their overall well-being.

As pet owners, you never intend to neglect an animals needs; it's just the demands our lives place upon us that creates this conflict.

Cats, while seeming content on their own, also require and demand some time and attention. Cats bond to people and do miss interaction when we're gone for extended periods of time. You know that cold shoulder you've received after returning from a short-trip.
